Having grown up in Japan, MUJI products have always been in my life as long as I can remember, from my stationaries for school, basic apparel, and bicycle to apartment furniture and kitchen appliances during my university years. Even now, living in the United States for over a decade, we use quite a few things from MUJI at our home.
MUJI, Mujirushi Ryohin, as we know it in Japanese, means ‘no-brand quality goods.’ Founded in 1980, it offers a wide range of simple, inexpensive, yet good-quality products. The products are practical (do the job you bought them for), minimal designs and packaging (not like the ones that scream their brand names to your face), all of which make them stylish.
It is natural (at least, to me) that MUJI has become popular internationally. There are more than 1000 stores worldwide with 7000+ products. In case that is not impressive enough for you, MUJI has expanded its business over the years by opening its specialty stores like MUJI Flower Shops, Eyeglasses Shops, KIOSK, Hotels, and more.
Because I won’t be able to cover all about MUJI in one post (or it’d be way too long!), in honor of #TravelTuesday, why don’t I share some of my travel favorites today?
Travel Organization
One of the things MUJI does well and is known for is organization systems. You can find bags from luggage to inside luggage/bag organizer cases at MUJI.

Beauty
MUJI also covers our beauty needs! Their already-beloved skincare essentials come in mini sizes, and they have packing-friendly mini cosmetic accessories. Plus, the individually wrapped cleansing cotton buds…? Yes, please!

Other Randoms, but probably necessary!
Travel is fun, but it can be stressful or uncomfortable sometimes, and there are also travel emergencies! Ensure you are prepared for all those situations with these fun items. They can also be nice things to have as your daily on-the-go, don’t you think?
