Another year, another Miami Swimweek under our belt! This time, the shows took place at venues like the SLS Hotel and the iconic Fountainblue Hotel. The week was busy with parties, trade shows, dinners, and runway shows!

Before we get into the shows, we must say that Miami Swimweek keeps improving as the years go by. Collections keep evolving and shows keep improving, but there are still some things promoters of these shows have to work on, and one of them is keeping time of when the shows start. While it’s customary for a fashion show to run a few minutes behind, anything over 20 minutes is a big no-no, and unfortunately, Miami is still struggling in that department.

Now onto the shows! The Hammock Tradeshow counted a variety of designers from Colombia, Canada, Italy, the US, and other parts of the world. Each designer showcased their latest collections, which were all the epitome of summer. Some collections like Sisterly Swimwear incorporated swimwear and athleisure, while collections like Carla Aestas counted with ethereal swim pieces made for a queen. Fun fabrics like metallic spandex were the main focus of Swim with Poppies, and BeautiiSoles had the perfect summer shoes.

While all the shows we attended were phenomenal, some of our highlights were Liliana Montoya, Tiare Hawaii, Coralee, Sports Illustrated, and Lila Nikole. All presented exemplary runway shows showcasing the true meaning of the tropics. Tiare Hawaii brought the big island of Hawaii to Miami with a beautiful hula performance and floral fabrics representing the island.

On the other hand, Liliana Montoya had a beautiful palette of whites, coral, and beiges, along with matching suits for the entire family. In true Lila Nikole fashion, her collection was filled with fun prints and vivid colors that will make you turn heads at the beach.

Miami Swimweek left us ready for our next tropical vacay, so it is no surprise if you see us booking our trip to the Bahamas today.

See you next year, Miami!
