We have all had one of those very long days – which we would like to end by completely detoxing our bodies. Fashion Week is one of those days, for five to ten days straight. For days when you need to detox your body stat, the following treatments will make you feel refreshed and clean after the hustle and bustle of the outdoor madness.

Spirulina Powder

Clays

Clays are a fantastic way to detox the body. Different clays serve different detox methods, but the ones that I have found to be the most detoxifying are spirulina clay, French green clay, and Volcanic Origins clay (a clay sourced from a volcano on an island). Spirulina is usually super expensive, but it is much cheaper on this website, Mountain Rose Herbs. You can also find French green clay at Mountain Rose Herbs. Cover the body in clay for a whole, intense detox experience, wait until it dries, then take it off in a hot bath with Epsom salts and green tea bath tea. Expect to feel a little doozy while the clay is still on – it will seriously detox your body for a few minutes, and you will probably feel feverish for a half hour.

Bath Teas

As mentioned above, bath teas are an excellent way to continue to detox the skin and body after a clay detox. Green tea bath teas are perfect for the skin; if you regularly use them, your complexion will look amazing.

Tea

Rosehip tea rose tea, and green tea is three excellent teas for detoxing the body. Rosehip and grew come from different parts of the plant, but both are super beneficial for the body and great for your skin.

Quarantine has served as a reminder that self-care is SO important, and doing regular mini-detoxes for your body is a highly beneficial form of self-care. Loving ourselves takes many forms – detoxing our body of environmental stressors is just one of those forms.
