This past week, our social media feeds were flooded with Grammy Award related posts. I, of course, had to include some of my favorites while making sure to mention a few other outfits for those looking to see something new (although we have been unable to escape the Y2K bug).

Sydney Sweeney — April 1st, 2022

Dress: Custom Prada

Sydney showed up to the CANNESERIES Festival looking classy, sophisticated, and mature in this custom Prada Dress. The a-line silhouette is undoubtably flattering on her figure, and reminds me of a few red carpet looks from the early 2010s. The neck strap adds a special detail to a classic garment.

Bella Thorne — April 2nd, 2022

Suit: Gucci

Bag: Balenciaga

It’s been quite a while since I’ve seen any photos of Bella out and about, but her debut on my feed did not fall flat! I appreciate the subtlety of the Gucci monogram logo on the suit, and the gorgeous green tone goes well with her peachy hair. It was a good choice to go with a bra instead of a longer top, as to let the suit do all the talking.

Doja Cat — April 3rd, 2022

Dress: Versace

Bag: Coperni x Home in Heven

Doja Cat is a celeb with one of the best fashion senses that I’ve seen in a while, and her Grammy’s look is hands down my favorite of the evening. The minty, light blue dress is simple, yet still glamorous. The icy white, spiky hair and satin platform sandals are screaming Y2K, mixed with some modernity. Since the dress isn’t over the top, she could afford to use a cool and quirky bag like this see-through glass one.

Lori Harvey — April 4th, 2022

Outfit: MUGLER

Shoes: AMINA MUADDI

This athleisure outfit may not seem like anything special at first glance, but I included it this week as someone that has a hard time figuring out how to make comfy clothes look fashionable and presentable. Lori is wearing a sporty windbreaker off the shoulder, which already makes the outfit appear more intentional. A small detail that drew me to the outfit was the black mesh bra matching the mesh triangle panel on the top front of the pants. These are a few steps up from the athleisure wear we normally see on the streets.

Olivia Rodrigo — April 5th, 2022

Dress: Custom Blumarine

Nails: Kim Truong

Shoes: AMINA MUADDI

We witnessed yet another blue and spiky haired look this week, but this time on Olivia at a Grammy’s afterparty. The spiked bun, purple sparkly eyeshadow, blue butterfly detail, and the entirety of the dress are clearly inspired by early 2000s fashion. We already know that this era of style is still on the up-and-up, but I wasn’t expecting to catch it at an award show event.

Monica — April 6th, 2022

Coat: Balenciaga

Shorts: Isabel Marant

Boots: Dolce and Gabbana

We have another all denim look on As Seen On… Is this the beginning of another new trend? I’m more of a fan of Monica’s tall denim boots than Julia Fox’s because these have a feature all girls love, and rightfully so — pockets! The easy way out with this outfit would be to throw on a typical denim jacket that we all probably have in our closets, but she opted for a trench style one, which is obviously more unique and interesting.
