Mixing swimsuits into your outfits is not a new concept. We have been seeing and doing it for quite some time, especially in beach towns, during summer vacations, and at resorts.

Wearing swimsuits as streetwear might be a bit of a new concept. In recent years, we have been admiring cool fashion girls mixing swimwear and beachwear in their daily outfits and the growing numbers of designers showing them in that way on the runways.

The swimwear industry has been one of the fastest-growing for decades, with more expected growth in the coming decade. According to research firm Global Industry Analysts, the estimated revenues for the worldwide swimwear industry were $17.6 billion in 2015, $22.1 billion in 2022, and $41.1 billion by 2030(!!!). Even a person like me who does not care about going to the beach or pool has the urge to buy something new every year. There are just so many unique options out there.

Thankfully, swimwear trends tend to go along with fashion trends, and it is quite easy to style with your existing wardrobe. Plus, don’t we all feel better having smaller cost-per-wear numbers for what we bought? So, let’s see how we can do this, shall we??

Ring detail is huge this year. From Zara, and Hunza G, to Louisa Ballou, options are limitless! I like them with a denim mini skirt and a structured blazer for that total 80s look.

One-pieces have been becoming more and more popular in recent years, and so as bodysuits! Why not style them in your day-to-night outfit with a pair of wide pant and a classic leather belt? You can opt for a plain nude one-piece or something more sexy with cut-out details. Classic Havaianas in black is also a great city-to-beach pick!

You can find some romantic date-night-ready swimwear, too. Magda Butrym one-piece gives me a total Chanel vibe paired with a black midi skirt. Or, you can pair the skirt with bikini tops like this Mara Hoffman off-the-shoulder or the Alawa lace top. A wide-brim straw hat is simply a must for summer.

There are also many options for not-so-traditional swimwear, such as rash guards and skirts. If you pair it with a denim jacket, a fanny pack, and a pair of low-heel slides,  it is like total city wear!

Are we ready to rock your new swimsuits on the street? I think so!! Please let us know how you will incorporate swim and beachwear into your daily outfits. Share your favorite brands of swimsuits and cool finds for this season. We always love to know!
