On Wednesday, September 13, founder and designer of JUS10H Justin Haynes displayed his newest collection, “ECRU – The Classic Shades of Comfort” on a runway in Union Square. An exclusive show asking guests to wear warm neutrals and khaki in accordance with the collection’s theme, the show ended with Haynes taking pictures with nearly every guest in attendance.

The title of Haynes’ collection, “ECRU – The Classic Shades of Comfort,” is a British word, directly translating to “khaki.” According to Haynes, “a lot of people think it’s just a pant, but it’s actually a color, so I wanted to bring that color word and the color meaning back in a more comfortable way, and not only show people that khakis aren’t just pants that can be worn in a certain way.”

Uniquely, in addition to the khaki and warm neutral theme, the models’ hair and makeup were styled in prominent cheekbone circles and sleek, elegant hairstyles. “[My makeup artist] came up with this mask effect because you know when you’re in [your] comfort zone, sometimes you put on the mask, all you want to see is just black,” Haynes said. “That’s where the mask came from.”

Haynes’ collection ranged from simple and elegant dresses to embellished blazers. Each piece appealed to the everyday person as something that a customer could see themselves wearing. Some looks were also accompanied by bags from Haynes’ ONYX Inc. brand, a luxury label also created by him. Clothes from the “ECRU – The Classic Shades of Comfort” were put on sale immediately after the show.
