About a year ago, on a whim, I Googled “the most comfortable pillow in the world”, and one of the first results to come up was the Layla Kapok pillow. Advertised as plush, airy, soft and supportive, I had to try it for myself, to see if it was true.
The verdict? It…is…COMFFFFYYYYYYY. Layla Kapok’s pillow is exactly what it advertises itself to be – quite possibly, the most comfortable pillow in the world. The price tag is steep, but we all know we’d be lying if we said that it wasn’t worth the investment of getting good sleep. As our readers know by now, I am a HUGE advocate for getting amazing sleep, and the Layla Kapok pillow is my new go-to pillow in this endeavor.
Last year, we wrote multiple articles about the wellness journey we as a magazine were on, promoting good hydration, fat detoxing, and good sleep. Since I have begun this journey, I have begun to once again experience the joy of being carded at bars – which was NOT so joyful the first time, when I didn’t bother to bring my ID. People claim I look 24 years old – exactly a decade younger than I am now approaching. A year ago, I was experiencing none of these things. The tea? Literal tea – lots of it, melting fat with my MiHigh infrared sauna blanket…and excellent sleep.
If you want to begin your wellness journey, and don’t know where to start, I recommend you start with the Layla Kapok pillow, and then look into a toxin-free mattress and eucalyptus sheets. Stock your pantry with teas and enjoy them with almond-oat milk or cashew milk, and the “coffee” zero-calorie syrups you can get at TJ Maxx and Marshall’s. Then, get an infrared sauna blanket, and use it for a half hour a day, after doing a half hour of Pilates with Pilates on Fifth Online. My recommendations stay the same over the years, because they have worked very well for me. When I began writing for this magazine, I was a size 30+ – in fact, I did not know what size I was. I just knew I was larger than a 30. I am now a size 14, and I intend to reach my goal size by the end of the year. Hydration, fat detoxing, and, most importantly, sleep, will get me there.
