At first, Anna experimented with her own milk, reducing it, trying different techniques to mix and cast the dried milk with acrylic resin to create what are now the brand’s signature breastmilk stones.
You’re probably wondering how it works…
The process for any mom is simple, the company provides you with a collection tube and pre-paid, padded envelope to send in your milk sample. It is cured and slow-dried to form a flaky consistency, then it is ground by hand into a powder. To turn the milk into a solid stone, it is added to an acrylic resin which is cast in a silicone mold. Once set, it is covered with a transparent coating to protect it from both damage and coloration, and transformed into the type of jewelry piece you have selected, whether that be a necklace pendant, ring, or bracelet.
There’s a whole range of styles to choose from when selecting the jewelry item, with both yellow and rose gold, as well as silver settings available. For an extra element of uniqueness, you are able to add custom components to the jewelry in the form of birth stones, locks of baby hair, hand or foot prints, or inscriptions of a gold, silver, or pearlescent hue.
