On Thursday, September 28, Chinese designer Jarel Zhang presented his Spring/Summer 2024 collection entitled, “To Know You.” This collection is inspired by dialogue within the episode “The Very Pulse of the Machine” in the animated show “Love, Death, + Robots.” In the dialogue, the character Kivelson asks I.O., “If you are a machine, what is your purpose, your original intent?”, to which I.O. responds, “To know you.”

Zhang’s new collection is a blending of genders, linking the idea of humans and machines. With this collection, Zhang hopes to evoke different perceptions from diverse minds so that their feelings may be demonstrated throughout the presentation.
