Over the weekend, the long-planned Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort occurred at Westminster Abbey. Guests were gathered from all over the world; royals, governors, and celebrities. A unique occasion to see the most diverse cultural mix in fashion.
Another remarkable thing was the different color choices that the guests made for their attires. It was not only just colorful, but also the colors were so vibrant. We saw many shades of blues that are from pastel, royal blue to navy blue. Different hues of pink, yellow, and purple. There were some neutrals and, of course, prints. It gave me outfit inspirations for events and a wedding I am attending this summer. With the rainbow of colors, we saw in this coronation, I thought, how about I share my favorite color-coordinated looks?
Blues –
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Akshata Murthy
One of my favorite looks of all. I love that Ms. Murthy paired pastel blue with the black accessories to make it not too sweet. And I LOVE her hat!
King Letsie III of Lesotho and Masenate Mohato Seeiso, Queen of Lesotho
Another great hat & another fabulous dress. I like that Queen of Lesotho chose the printed dress in mono color. It makes her look interesting yet elegant.
Jill Biden
She looks so smart in this Ralph Lauren suit. This interesting shade of blue is lovely, too.
Carole and Michael Middleton
Royal blue was popular amongst the guests. With the matching headband, she is killing it!
Joanna Lumley
The silhouette of the navy dress, white and black polka dot gloves, a white hat, a navy clutch bag, and wedge shoes with white, gray, and navy striped soles. PERFECTION!!
Pinks –
Princess Beatrice
Magenta dress with giant puffed sleeves and the champaign gold headband. I love that it is simple, yet the subtle details make it fashionable!
Katy Perry and Edward Enninful
Katy Perry went ladylike, and the big Vivian Westwood pearl neckless shows her style.
Brigitte and Emmanuel Macron
Pretty in all pastel pink! I always like good uniformed looks.
Yellows –
Her Majesty Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah of Malaysia
It was nice to see this bright yellow dress at the ceremony. Also, we can all capture her Manolo shoes peeking at the hem, right?
Pippa Middleton
Pippa Middleton always nails how to dress as a guest. Her look is sophisticated, appropriate, AND stylish.
Purple –
Bhutanese royals King Jigme Khesar and Queen Jetsun Pema
Match in purple, and it complements each other. While the dress is traditional, Queen Jetsun Pema kept her accessories modern, and I like that she mixed them up.
Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark and his wife Mary, Crown Princess
Proof military uniforms and wrap dresses are always valid options for any occasion. Very classy.
Red, Print, and Neutral –
Lady Louise Windsor
The sweetest, most elegant dress at the event.
Emma Thompson
This red overcoat certainly did stand up amongst the attendees.
