Style Evolution: Beyoncé

The 60th Annual Grammy’s ceremony took place last night at Madison Square Garden. It is the time where musicians take over the red carpet wearing their best looks while pushing the envelope. Throughout the years, performers have left their mark on the red carpet with iconic looks that transformed the fashion industry. I mean, who can forget Cher, back in 1974, looking like a fairy-tale embodiment of Lisa Frank, or Prince back in 1988 wearing polka dots from head to toe, or JLo back in 2000, wearing that green silk Versace dress. However, if there is one star that has taken the Grammy’s red carpet by storm, that star is Beyonce.

Beyoncé has been the epitome of style since the moment she stepped foot in the public eye. Just like her music has been evolving, so has her fashion sense. Throughout the years she has become an icon and has shown everyone she is not afraid to take risks when it comes to fashion. Her style has matured and long are the days of bedazzling embellishments.

Her picks have become more streamlined, making her a muse for the likes of Givenchy, Versace, and Gucci. She’s slayed with her Met Gala appearances and was given the fashion icon award at the 2016 CFDA Awards. She has also put her foot in the fashion industry, by introducing her first fashion line in 2005 and her activewear line, Ivy Park.

Whether she is turning heads on a red carpet, or taking “street style” to another level, Beyonce is nothing short of a style queen; and we’ve gathered some of her most memorable fashion moments.
