35 Years and Still Dreaming Exhibition Launch Party

Since 1981, GUESS Jeans revolutionized contemporary fashion with their stonewash denim techniques and memorable campaigns. The brand’s concepts influenced Los Angeles to eventually become the mecca to the denim industry. The iconic black and white editorials of Anna Nicole Smith, Claudia Schiffer and Cindy Crawford in the 90’s set the brand’s trademark for sexy denim while contributing to the fame of models and pop culture. The legacy continues by adding a diverse cast of models such as Gigi Hadid, Priyanka Chopra and A$AP Rocky as the faces of recent campaigns and collections.

In celebration of the GUESS’ 35th anniversary, Chief Creative Officer Paul Marcianno and the FIDM Museum & Galleries in Los Angeles collaborated on a special retrospect of the brand. The launch of the exhibition included a tour of the gallery by Paul Marcianno himself to notable attendees such as models Shaun Ross, Kara Del Torro, Natalie Pack, notable NBA stars, musicians, actresses and social influencers as they sipped on cocktails sponsored by Svedka.

The GUESS: 35 Years and Still Dreaming Exhibition displays an educational perspective of denim and GUESS’ impact on the fashion industry through their pop-culture imagery and style. The FIDM Museum will display the GUESS exhibition until July 8th, with free admission to the public.
