Without any doubts, summer is the most fun season inspiring bright color trends, flowy textures and flirty patterns. Swimsuits turn into an impermanent summer uniform serving not only as the perfect amount of clothing for achieving fabulous tans but also a distinctive fashion statement. Let’s look at four outstanding trends from Spring/Summer 2012 runway shows for some swimwear inspiration!
This summer is all about color. And we’re not talking just your average reds and blues; we mean neon, in-your-face, impossible-to-look-away-from eruptions of vibrancy. The most popular shades this season are rich sapphire, tangerine, fuschia, scarlet, bright lime and golden yellow. These colors can at most be showcased in pairs, with hair completely away from the face, minimum accessories and clean makeup. Also, if you choose to wear such an attention demanding neon shade, go for a solid over a print to avoid an overly bright blend of intensity.

Bursts of color aren’t just gorgeous and trendy as a solid, but also tangled into fun miniature patterns. Color combinations for prints this season range from combining varieties of blues, yellows, mints, purples, as well as the entire palette of pinks. Going against an extremely popular trend of mismatching colors, swimwear collections showcased a clear match of accessories, shoes and light makeup with the exact colors featured in these vibrant patterns. To make such a fun pattern noticeable, go for an interesting one-piece silhouette, as opposed to a tiny bikini (such a burst of color can go unnoticed in a minimal use of fabric.)
