After perusing the two-level convention, fashionistas and beauty industry professionals were galvanized into purchasing discounted products, building upon their makeup repertoire. Truly a makeup artist’s dream, The Makeup Show is a breeding ground for creativity, beauty, and inspiration.
Improving upon its false lashes, iENVY by KISS introduced a jet black, latex free, odor free and waterproof adhesive emulating the look of a black liner. Also titillated with inspiration, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics launched their spring line of Lip Tars, which are to die for. Only needing a pin drop of this product, it lasts all day; and with its impressive color selection OCC out did themselves. Another great product, Stila’s sparkle waterproof liquid eye liner infuses a pearly shimmer with intense pigment creating a glamorously playful look.
What had everyone buzzing, though? EnKore Makeup & Lavaque’s three dimensional make up techniques. As guests congregated at The Makeup Show’s launch party on Saturday evening, intricately painted models were the canvas for artistic talent at its finest. 3D glasses were distributed allowing for a further punch of cosmetic amazement.
This year, The Makeup Show NYC encouraged industry enthusiasm, while motivating new looks and techniques. Now, let’s sit back and let makeup artists go to work, making us even more beautiful!
