On April 24th, 2012, Fashion360Mag attended the Scent of Departure launch party at Henri Bendel on 5th Avenue. In the store was a sleek airplane wing display covered with glossy perfume bottles, guests found themselves in a chic, almost foreign atmosphere. Perfume’s lead designer Magali Senequier created a set with an illusion of heaps of luggage over an entire wall of shelves displaying all twenty scents allowing customers to decide which one would “fit” them perfectly.

Scent of Departure is a brand new unisex perfume line created by Gérald Ghislain and Magali Sénéquier, consisting of 20 scents representing prominent cities all over the world. The perfumes are specifically formulated to embody the spirit of each unique city and stimulate smell: our strongest sense to arouse associations. Customers are offered a fun short quiz to discover a little something about their personality and which city’s fragrance would best match it. Every scent is truly unique and different ranging from the pleasantness and luxury of Abu Dhabi to modernism and sophistication of London. Each scent also incorporates a smell intimately related to the city, such as Miami’s sweet citrus aroma.
