The world was just getting a taste of what the style maiden had in store. Her next album “Like a Virgin” was charted as a #1 hit on the US charts and Madonna’s look was elevated to a whole new level. She still held on to her signature bows and lace gloves but she was a bit more polished, more of a sexpot and less tomboy. In the “Like a Virgin” video she wore her signature white lace bustier and full skirt, full lace gloves and cropped wedding gown, and “boy toy” name plate belt. The look was iconic and would forever be associated with the Queen of Pop.
