Beauty tips from professionals don’t have to break the bank. Inglot Cosmetics, a Polish company with stores in Europe and now in the States, offers customers the opportunity to learn from a makeup artist how to enhance or even transform one’s look. The price is a hundred dollars, but that includes a hundred dollars worth of product too, from nail enamels to eye shadows, liners, mascara and lipstick—all reasonably priced and presented in a wide variety of colors and textures.
There are four classes that are offered: Smokey Eyes, Day to Night look, Contour and Highlights, and Flawless Complexion. No appointment is necessary and the classes last about an hour. In that hour, the makeup artist does not merely walk the customer through the process of creating an effect; there is a desire, rather, for the customer to leave with the confidence and the know-how to create the look, and a willingness by the makeup artist to stay past the time to make sure that is the outcome.
Though the class is a great value, there are opportunities for simple, free consultations at Inglot stores and through the company’s Facebook. According to Brooklyn J. Mclain, who is both a pro makeup artist and social networking coordinator for Inglot, the company is making sure to have a visible presence online to allow customers multiple access points to products and their make-up artists.
Inglot is located at 1592 Broadway, Chelsea Market Building. It also has stores in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, and New Jersey.
